Psalm 51:10-13 nkjv
“Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.”
Only through our trials and victories do we learn how to live and survive. Through fire we learn about the burn, through winter we learn about the cold. Pressure gives us opportunity to press into Him. If we are wise, our lessons will provide growth.
The structure of our trial is meant to teach, not destroy.
The writer here in this verse, David, asks for a clean heart. That means he understands that it is dirty in nature. He asks for a steadfast spirit because he knows in his own strength he is weak and will fail. It is only through YAH’s strength that we are able to overcome and accomplish the tasks before us. THROUGH the fire we learn to trust Him! THROUGH the storms & trials we are perfected becoming usable vessels for His glory. Only then, through our obedience and surrender to His truths are we able to teach transgressors His ways! Through the lessons of our own surrender!

Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
